A Safe and Secured Life
11 Put on the full armour of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
The Rectangular Relation
Our lives are directly or indirectly linked with four elements in all the visible and invisible universes:
God
Ourselves
People
The Devil
A safe, secured, and prosperous life is not random or based on luck. Whether done intentionally or unknowingly, such a life is achieved through principles. They say that life and happiness are choices. Well, the meaning of this saying is that there are specific choices you must make in order to see the result of a happy life.
Every decision you make, whether reasonably or egotistically, affects your soul, God, the devil, and other people. Whenever you make mistakes in life and suffer the consequences, do not accuse God of being unmerciful or unfair. You have to understand that Satan is always on standby to meddle in your life and hurt you. This will happen only when you break the laws of life.
The author of Psalm 119 teaches about laws, words, statutes, precepts, ordinances, and commandments. These suggest that a perfect life is built on specific codes of life. And breaking these codes will result in some form of a distorted life.
Relation with people and ourselves
Knowledge, accompanied by prudence and patience, is a mandatory virtue we must hold, as taught in Hosea 4:6. Do not assume things or rush into decisions.
Our soul, by its nature, is mystically interconnected with other people here on earth. Maintaining a harmonious relationship built on love creates the right environment for a whole and healthy life.
Just as the nature of substances is destroyed when their molecular bonds are broken, our inner well-being is affected when we disrupt harmony with others by acting poorly. Our personality draws strength, grace, and beauty when it remains in a knowledge-based, loving environment—especially during challenging times.
Otherwise, we may lose our wholesome nature, much like substances that transform into undesirable forms when exposed to fire.
Our relation with God and the Devil
God bestows on His people glory, excellence, and blessings when our relationship with Him is built on the fear of God and obedience to His commandments. Living otherwise diminishes our confidence and strength, making us people without true influence or rank.
But this is not all. The devil is also there, waiting for us to become vulnerable so he can make us his prey. In the Gospels, there are records of Satan entering the bodies of people and crippling their health. In Matthew 9, there was a person muted by a demon, who was delivered when Jesus rebuked it. And in Luke 13, there was a woman bent over for 18 years by Satan, whom Jesus also delivered.
What does this tell us? Besides fearing God to safeguard our soul and spirit, we must be aware that we could fall into Satan’s trap if we do not walk the right path of life. And we know there is no goodness in Satan—he will do his best to destroy anyone.
The well-known passage in Ephesians 6 teaches that there is an organized kingdom of evil spirits whose only intention is to ruin our lives. So, whatever you choose to do, always be aware that your actions will receive feedback—from God, from the devil, and from other people.
Be wise and prudent to keep yourself safe and secure. As much as there is a loving God who wants to bless you, there is also an evil spirit who wants to destroy you and God’s plan in your life. Never open the door to your enemies by lacking the knowledge to walk in the right path.
Why do you think there are so many wars, starvation, poverty, homelessness, and suffering in different parts of the world? And why do accidents sometimes happen to people? The answer is that life must be lived using the right formulas.
In Deuteronomy 30:11–15, Moses tells the people that these formulas for life are not far beyond the sea, nor are they up in the heavens beyond their reach. The oracles of life are with you—in your heart and in your mouth. You just have to dig and see. He tells them, “Life and prosperity are on one hand, and death and destruction are on the other, placed before you to choose.” Then he advises them to choose life.
It is, in a way, that simple. All we have to do is become aware of the full scope of the subject and rise up to be filled with the true knowledge of God’s will. In many parts of Scripture—especially in the Gospel of John—it is taught that we are meant to know and do the will of God.
How to be filled by the will of God

Many people think that studying and memorizing the Bible is how we are filled with the will of God. Though these practices are valuable, some questions arise. How are you going to study certain parts of the Bible—such as the first nine chapters of 1 Chronicles, or the various directives Moses gave to the Israelites in Exodus, Leviticus, and Deuteronomy about their social laws and worship—which are often uninviting to study more than once?
Are we supposed to skip parts because they seem less relevant? The Bible is meant to be read in its entirety—without skipping a dot. If you are interested in studying specific sections in depth, you may do so as a secondary option. But simply reading the whole Bible with faith activates the Holy Spirit to work in your life through the divine Word you read. You will notice your mind becoming continually enlightened with the will of God, lifting your life toward your greatest destiny.
The Bible directly teaches us the knowledge of spiritual life and the will of God—but that is not all. Scripture is like an encrypted message, filled with infinite life codes that are specific to our situations and times.
So, how do we decrypt these oracles? The answer is—we don’t have to. The Holy Spirit does that. You just have to read each chapter by faith, and God will reveal specific knowledge relevant to your circumstances. This allows you to align yourself with His will and reap an abundant life here on earth.
Revelations from God about how to live are called wisdoms. Through them, God opens our understanding and helps us discover key insights applicable to our lives. Once we receive that wisdom, we feel as though we've found a great possession—a key that unlocks our dreams.
Therefore, it all begins with reading the Book. Like preparing and serving a dish, what you read will be processed and transformed into concrete knowledge and wisdom through His Spirit. Then, you can apply it in your life and experience true transformation.
Conclusion
Our relationship with ourselves should be guided by the understanding that we are called to carry the cross each day—with hope and expectation that Christ’s life will be manifested in us as a reward. Carrying the cross may involve long-suffering, patience, and sometimes isolation, depending on our level of spiritual growth.
We are to do these things with the conviction that the power of resurrection is revealed to the saints here on earth as a response to their faith in God. And this is not just about the resurrection at the end of time, but about how God visits us with His miraculous wonders—lifting us into a higher life filled with His glory and blessings.
In our relationships with others, mercy and truth are the foundational principles we must stand on. Showing mercy fills our lives with grace and peace, and it also sustains our relationship with God under an open heaven. Truth is something we must always uphold to avoid becoming vulnerable to the world's corruption. Integrity, when rooted in the will of God, keeps our lives strong and victorious.
Once you become a Christian, you begin to live a dual life: love and warfare. You are both a soldier and a messenger. You live as an ambassador of Christ, with one foot grounded in love, and the other foot firmly planted in knowledge—ready to fight against every kind of enemy.
